Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, opened the 16th Adult Education Center Conference entitled "Adult Education in the Digital Age ... The Great Arab Challenge". In the presence of Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Khaliq Madbouli Director of Education Department of the Arab Organization for Education and Science and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan, acting head of the General Authority for Adult Education and Dr. Ashour Omri, Director of the Center and Rapporteur of the Conference.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat stressed the importance of taking advantage of the technological development witnessed by the world and its employment in literacy and adult education so that the educational process can be facilitated and freed from the conditions of the existence of classes on specific dates and the presence of teacher by providing an electronic application easy to deal with without a teacher and provides a lot of literacy skills and knowledge of the learner.

Prof. Dr. Nazmy Abdel Hamid talked about the technological development witnessed by the world for nearly two decades, which made the human being more connected to electronic devices, whether the person is educated or illiterate, which facilitates the receipt of information and learning.
